Thai Food Addict, nestled at 2 Old Forge Rd in Helmetta, NJ, is quickly becoming a favorite destination for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. Customers rave about the vibrant flavors and unique dishes that transcend typical Thai fare. D Bhat praises the cozy atmosphere and particularly highlights the drunken noodles with tofu and crunchy papaya salad, while acknowledging some items, like the tamarind stir fry, could benefit from bolder flavors. Larry Farber's experience reflects the restaurant's commitment to innovative flavors, especially his pad Thai, which featured an enigmatic sauce that stood apart from any he's encountered before. A little cozy place with delightful Thai food. Loved the drunken noodles with tofu and veggies especially. The papaya salad was excellent too, crunchy and flavorful. The tamarind stir fry was not my favorite though, as it lacked any distinct taste . just very sour as expected. My only disappointment was they did not have a veg version of any of the soups.

Dinner was delicious! I had a shrimp pad thai which made with this incredibly delicious sauce that I've never had at any other Thai restaurant. For desert I had 2 scoops of the most delicious banana ice cream over purple sticky rice with a little sweet milk. Yum yum! I can't describe the sauce in the Pad thai. It had so many flavors I couldn't tell you what was in them. I can tell you the sauce was red but I didn't taste any tomatoes. This is not your typical Thai restaurant. It's a few steps above. They have a lot of unique dishes that I've never seen before. As I'm having dinner there is a procession of people opening the door and walking up to the counter to pick something up. One after the other. I can see why they call the Restaurant Thai Food Addict! They got me!

Pleasantly surprised how nice Thai food I got to eat in a long time. The food is really good with no unwanted smells, just aroma. The ambience is odur free and no smells of dishes ordered by adjacent tables. I guess this will be now my go to for Thai.

Wow such a gem! We eat so much Thai food and this is definitely the best in the area. You have to order the pad see ew, such a common order but not at this place, it’s perfectly seasoned not too salty but soooo fragrant !! We ordered take out here at first and the food was so good we had to find time to dine in as well. The satay chicken was tender and not dry, the sauce and the pickle on the side was so different and addicting. Curry and pad Thai also solid choices but pad see ew was . We finished off with a warm dessert, the mango sticky rice and it wasn’t too sweet, super heartwarming and the rice had a nice bite to it with the crispy toppings. Love this place and will be a regular for sure! Miriam our server was sooo nice and was making everyone at the restaurant feel so welcome and cared for. Great food service ! A

Hidden Gem ... what a taste. It’s an amazing hidden gem food. We ordered Penang Curry, Shrimp Curry and Pad Ke Mao. Everything is very flavorful and tasty ... We will make this as our Thai food join for now.

Good and tasty food! We started with the sharing appetizer, which was decent but didn’t quite match up to the entrees—the deep-fried items felt a bit ordinary compared to the bold, well-balanced flavors of the mains. The drunken noodles were excellent, delivering a rich, savory kick, while the green curry with vegetables was delicious and comforting. We ordered medium spice but could have handled it spicier. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, though we did miss seeing red curry on the menu. There was Penang curry available, but we skipped it this time since it has sweet notes—something to try next time. The restaurant has a cozy, neighborhood-style feel, like a small mom-and-pop spot with a warm and welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

Awesome food. Pad Thai noodles were delicious. Coconut sticky rice is out of the world. Would definitely go there again and recommend.

This place is always amazing! We have been ordering since it has opened. The owner is very friendly and the staff as well. We recently had dinner here last minute on Valentine's Day. They let us know the food may come out a bit delayed, but we were ok with that. The food still came out quickly and was delicious! They made us feel welcome and didn't rush us! Love this place and if you haven't tried it...you will love it too! This is THE BEST THAI FOOD YOU WILL EAT!!
